The Obama campaign has argued that Super Delegates ought to vote in accordance with the "will" of the people. Really? Then let's run the numbers. Under that metric, who would have a lead in Super Delegates? The Super Delegate total from the states that Hillary has won thus far (including FL and MI) is 418, to Obama's 372. If the MI delegates are split 50/50, Clinton still wins 403.5 to Obama's 386.5. If Super Delegates are counted according to Barack's formula, Hillary wins the nomination. Period.
The numbers are even more impressive after Hillary crushed Obama in West Virginia. WV has 11 Superdelegates. Hillary is now ahead, even if you exclude FL and MI: she leads 374 to Obama's 372.

After Obama's devastating defeat in Pennsylvania, the Obama campaign released a memo addressed to the superdelegates but published in the Wall Street Journal which argues that Obama would be the strongest candidate in the Fall against McCain. The memo is so deeply flawed that Jerome Armstrong ridicules it as "satire," and "exhibit A" for "intellectual dishonesty":
I don't know that I've ever seen anything a campaign poll memo that so obviously cherry-picks polls over the last 4 months to make their case. It's almost satire. Some rookie mailed it in on behalf of the Obama campaign's "memo to the superdelegates". I couldn't imagine a known political blogger creating this list, and not being laughed and mocked out of the blogosphere.
Let's assume Hillary wins tomorrow in Pennsylvania. Regardless of her margin of victory, superdelegates are still tasked with picking the Democratic nominee. A post by Jeralyn on TalkLeft argues convincingly that Obama would face almost insurmountable odds against McCain. Jeralyn uses William Arnone's analysis of the electoral landscape. Jeralyn says:
First, we need to figure out which of the 20 states are vulnerable to McCain and decide whether Hillary or Obama has a better chance of carrying them. Mr. Arnone says those states are: Pennsylvania, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Oregon and Wisconsin, which have a total of 68 electoral votes.
As I've written before, Kerry won Pennsylvania by only 2% in 2004. Obama's inability to carry large states besides his home state does not bode well for his candidacy.
Bill Ayers, Obama's friend and benefactor, was introduced to the public during Wednesday's Democratic debate, much to the chagrin of the Obama campaign and his supporters.
Let's get one thing out of the way: Ayers was not a radical; he is a domestic terrorist (Ayers once suggested that young people should "Bring the war home. Kill your parents."). There's a big distinction between having radical ideas and violent plans. Gloria Steinem, Tom Hayden, and Todd Gitlin were radicals. The desire to kill innocent Americans makes Ayers a terrorist.
So who is Bill Ayers, you ask? Nobody in particular if you are an Obama Fan. I mean Obama Rocks!!!! Yes We Can!! I mean all Ayers was is just the leader of the terrorist group the Weather Underground in the '70s. Ohhhhhhhhhh pooh pooh, Obama fans say! That's a longggggg time ago!!! Barack was 8 years old! Ayers is a nice guy now! He hasn't blown anything up lately or anything! Stop bothering our Messiah! All Ayers did was bomb a few buildings, right? Let's give him another chance! I mean so what if he helped Barack with his campaigns. Lay off the guy!
No.
I won't lay off the guy. Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn (now married to Ayers) were two of the most infamous domestic terrorists ever to be allowed to continue to walk the earth in America, thanks to a screw up in the surveillance. But that didn't stop Ayers from bragging on what he did.
"i don't regret setting bombs. I feel we didn't do enough"
-Bill Ayers, September 11, 2001
Communicating one's thoughts, ideas and plans is what is known in philosophy as a social practice. We all know that the same word can convey different meaning to different groups of people. Cool means something entirely different to an air conditioning repairman than it does to a high school skateboarder.
The Obama campaign loves to talk about the math of this race -- the math as it stands now, prior to 10 more states voting and the selective disenfranchisement of Michigan and Florida. There is a math however which all Democrats need to consider. It's the Electoral College reality.
If we are honest about this primary election and agree that Hillary won Michigan and Florida, the race is now a draw.

I am appalled that in response to Jeremiah Wright, Obama claims that it is impossible to sum up a 30 year career, or a 20 year friendship, in 2 minutes on 4 YouTube clips. His supporters keep repeating it. It sounded wrong to me when Obama first used it as an excuse and it's sounding worse each time I hear it.
